Buyers flock to Cronulla

13-Jun-2017
Written by Ashley Blake
Did you know...over the last five years Cronulla's median apartment price has risen a huge 73 per cent and we have also seen a 58 per cent rise in the median house price! As Shire residents we knew our little beach suburb was popular but these figures show just how big the real estate boom is!

According to an article published on domain.com.au, buyers from the Inner West and Eastern Suburbs are discovering that they can stretch their money further in the Shire and are happy to settle for slightly longer commute times. With a median house price of $1,775,000 and $826,000 for units, Cronulla is much more affordable and significantly lower than many other beachfront enclaves in Sydney.

Out of area residents aren't the only people wanting to buy in Cronulla, according to domain, statistics are showing there is a large percentage of home owners in the Shire's western suburbs such as Engadine, Heathcote and Kirrawee that are selling their large family homes and downsizing to apartments along the beach side.

With so much to offer lifestyle wise, there seems no slowing down for the real estate market in Cronulla!

Have you recently sold or purchased in Cronulla? We would love to hear your story!
